I had a little trouble identifying the fact that I might be pregnant when I was carrying my first child. I had several symptoms that mimicked those of my monthly menstrual cycle. If I had owned a computer back then, I might have been able to research what pregnancy signs to look out for.
The most obvious symptom of pregnancy is a missed or late period. Although I had this symptom, I also had extremely bad cramps. Turns out I had a cyst on my ovary, which left me feeling crampy for a total of 12 weeks. Pregnancy cysts usually go away on their own, but make sure you have a doctor keep an eye on them.
