We’ve Been Told That Father Knows Best, But Do You Really Believe It?

The day finally came, the day you never thought would, and you finally have that newborn in your arms and at home with you. Being the mother of a newborn are the most exciting and highly anticipated days of any woman’s life, there is no disputing that. But what about Dad? Isn’t that true for Dad as well?

We, as women, have a tendency to take charge, take control. Never is that more true than when that baby emerges into the world. When you are holding that newborn in your arms, you don’t want to share it. You don’t want anyone else to touch them.

Perfection Is An Illusion That Cannot Last Without Life Getting In The Way

When they first place that little newborn into your arms, you will for the first time be looking into the face of perfection. You realize in that instant how incredible it is that you are capable of creating something so amazing, so, perfect.

The weight of the world rests on your shoulders in that very instant to take care of this little being, keep them safe, keep them perfect. But then, reality takes over.

Being A Mother Means Having To Say “I Can’t” Sometimes

You have just welcomed your new bundle of joy into the world, but you are finding that the bundle is not always accompanied by joy. It’s okay, go ahead and admit it, there are times when you wonder what the heck you were thinking.

Then still others when you wonder what the heck you are going to do. Babies are cute and cuddly, but they are also maddening, emotionally draining, and downright painful to manage at times. It is okay to admit that sometimes you just can’t do it by yourself.
